Diamond Platnumz Live in Edmonton
East Africa’s biggest star brought the Bongo Flava heat to Edmonton — Diamond Platnumz at Union Hall, produced by Hunter TV Africa.
How Diamond Platnumz Live in Edmonton came together.
Abiola Oderinde, Founder, Hunter TV Africa
Diamond Platnumz is the biggest name in East African music. Period. Bringing him to Edmonton was a statement: Hunter TV Africa doesn’t just do West African music — we do the whole continent.
Sunday, July 23rd. Union Hall, 6240 99 St NW, Edmonton, AB T6E 6C7. Doors open at 6pm, show starts at 7pm. Tickets on sale from Friday June 23rd at 1pm via TicketGateway.
The Edmonton African community came out in force. Tanzanians, Kenyans, Ugandans, Nigerians, Congolese — the venue was a pan-African celebration. Diamond brought the energy, the hits, and the showmanship that’s made him a continental icon.
This show proved that Canadian cities beyond Toronto are hungry for premium African entertainment. Edmonton showed up, and we took notes.
